Although I never joined the armed services, I come from a military family. Both my father and brother served as Marines and I'm proud of both of them. My brother served in peacetime while my father served in Vietnam. Both are heroes to me. It takes a lot of courage and guts to join the armed services and I thank all the men and women who have done so, so that I may choose not to.
Best wishes to all my friends and to those I don't know - stay safe and know that there are many of us that appreciate your time and sacrifice. And a special thanks to those around them - the wives, families, and children who spend countless hours without their loved ones waiting for their return. You too are heroes to me.
